Simple Reflections: Psalms 28 and 30

Psalm 28:8
The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
We are not our own strength. God is our strength. And He is our saving strength. We cannot save ourselves. Our lives are cultivated, engineered by God to express this reality. God saves. Man is saved.
Psalm 30:8,9
I cried to You, O lord, and to the Lord I made supplication. What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit (the grave)? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth and faithfulness to men?
Man is fundamentally different from nature; the mountains and fields that declare God's glory; the beasts of the earth which show his creativity. Man has a will and a voice, to declare God's truth and faithfulness in the earth. This is what we are for.
