Time of Need

Hebrews 4:16
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
  • Time of need. When we actually need it. Not just when we are sitting in the armchair, asking for grace. Or when we think we need it. But practically, when the need arises, when the waves have risen, this is the time. Grace is not theoretical; God's help is not theoretical. It is actual and practical. It is to be experienced in our time of need. We must approach God with confidence at all times -- outside of the trial and inside of the trial. And we will find that the grace will always be there when we need it. Although I have found that it will not always arrive in the way, or in the appearance, we might have visualized.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
